United Nations Week

My thanks to everyone that contributed to make this year's UN Week a memorable one.

Special thanks to the Organising Committee of teachers and to all those Embassies that have loaned flags and to the parents that have helped their child(ren) to display their national costumes.

Student Public Speaking Activity

Thanks to Mr. Grayson and the Grade 10 History students that contributed lively and persuasive viewpoints on the reasons that change in the UN structure is needed. 5 students spoke.

The next Public Speaking opportunity will be on November 30 when the issue to be addressed is Homelessness – all participants and observers are welcome.

Accreditation

Copies of the school's Additional Grades Report and the 5 Year Report to CIS and NEASC have been placed in the Library for consultation by interested parents.

We will receive the visit of the CIS and NEASC Accreditation Visitor, Mr. Nick Reeves, between Monday November 13 and Friday November 17 2006.

Library

The new whole school Library and Media Centre is now open.

The Library Committee invites your feedback on the new facility at any time throughout the first term.
