Message from the Principal
The coming week
I am looking forward to next week and I invite you all to come along to the Jose Martí Anniversary Celebration on Monday 30 th .
The Spanish Department will be helping us to remember Jose Martí. Celebrating Martí, whose influence is so strong in this country, is a good way to remind ourselves that we are at an International School in Cuba.
Please note that the Assembly will take place at 2.45 p.m. in the Ranchon. This is a change from the time published in the Term Calendar.
I also hope to see all parents at the first ever Grade 6 Student Led Conferences.
It is vitally important that parents support their children's efforts and attend these presentations about the learning the children have achieved and the work they have done to achieve it.
These conferences are scheduled for Wednesday February 1 .
Finally may I encourage you to plan to attend the P.T.A.'s Gala Dinner Dance Night Out at Club Havana. This will be on Saturday February 11 . Tickets are available from P.T.A. representatives.
Come along and have a great night out!
Board of Directors Information Forum for parents
The Board of Directors' Finance Committee will be holding a meeting for all parents on
February 9 at 6.00 p.m.
to keep you informed about the progress of both the Operating and the Capital Budget for the current financial year.
This is the same day as the Lower School Student Led Conferences and the Finance Committee hopes that parents will feel able to stay a few minutes longer with us to hear about the way financial matters have developed this academic year.
