Makeup tricks:

Shadow Strategy: Go with neutral shadows. Think brown, nutmeg and beige. Not only are these THE colors for fall, but they’re practically goof-proof. The trick: blend, then blend some more. Not sure about color placement? Apply a light color over your entire lid, from lashline to brow. Then use a medium shadow color on your lid from lashline to the crease of your eyelid. Finally, use your darkest color as eyeliner.

Liner Logic: For a soft liner look, put a dark shadow along your lashline using a slightly damp brush. If you prefer pencil eyeliner, apply a small amount of eye shadow over the line to soften the look and keep it from smearing.

Base Basics: If you use foundation, don’t put it on all over. Instead, dab on dots of the foundation to any areas that are red or discolored (usually under eyes, nostrils and around your mouth). Blend the foundation into your skin using your fingers or a wedge sponge. Need more coverage? Use concealer after your foundation.
Blush Flush: Make your blush choice - liquid, gel, stick, cream or powder. To put blush in its place, look in the mirror and smile. Then apply it to the “apple” of your cheek. If you use a powder blush, invest in a full-size brush rather than using the small one that comes in the compact. Also, be sure to tap off any excess powder before you get cheeky with it. The blush rule: Stop applying when you get see just a hint of color. Overdone it? A little translucent powder will help soften the shade.

Lip Prep: If you have flaky lips, try this: Slick on some petroleum jelly (or lip balm), then gently massage your lips with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Finish by wiping off your mouth with a warm, damp washcloth. Repeat once a day until your lips are soft and smooth.
Color Cues: Using lip color is so easy, especially if you go for a juicy hue that’s just a couple of shades lighter or darker than your natural color. All you have to do is slick your lipstick or gloss over your lips and you’re set!

If you go for a darker lip color, use lip-liner to outline your mouth and fill in as a base. This'll help you fix any flaws and keep the color in place.
If you have thin lips, go for neutral, paler colors to help make them look fuller.
To enhance a pout, dab silver lip gloss on to the center of your lower lip.

Make up for Brown Eyes:
Everything you ever needed to know to make your brown eyes sparkle: What colors match you best, and what colors should be used in moderation!

A tone-in-tone combination always works. Brown eye shadow - no matter if dark or light - compliments your brown eyes and gives them a rather soft look.
How it’s done: Apply brown eye shadow along the bottom of your eye and all over the top lid, up to the crease. Blend a bit outwards. Apply white eyeliner on your waterline - it makes your eyes look bigger - and finally, apply mascara.

WOW! Turquoise is THE perfect shade for brown eyes! It perfectly brings out your eye color, but you can also pull off other blue tones.
How it’s done: Apply a thick line of turquoise eyeliner on the top lid as close to the lashline as possible. Wing it out towards the end, and make sure it starts thin, gets thicker and then gets thinner again. If you use waterproof eyeliner the look lasts longer. Oh, and don’t forget mascara!

You can make brown eyes look very elegant when complimented with shades of gold eye shadow. The use of eyeliner is up to you - gold always looks glamorous!
How it’s done: Apply gold eye shadow to your top lid, up to the crease. Apply a brown eyeliner line, much like the turquoise one explained above, on your top lid, close to the lashline. To add to the glam, apply a lot of mascara and curl your lashes for the finishing touch!

Red: There’s not much to say about the color red, it just looks terrible with brown eyes. Period.
Cream: Cream-colored eye shadow creates too much of a contrast with brown eyes. No-go!
Black: A bit of precaution is needed with the use of black. When applied as eyeliner on the top/bottom lash or on your waterline it is no problem at all, but as eye shadow…. Hands off!
