International Teacher's Day is celebrated on the 5th of October to recognize the efforts of educators in helping their students shape their future, and aiding and guiding them along the right paths. Evidently this is a very important event for us as a school for none of us would be here today if it were not for our teachers.

In the International School of Havana we recognize this day by appreciating our teachers. Annually gifts are given, and usually a large lunch organized in honour of all the teachers. Sometimes students will organize class parties for their homeroom teachers.
