Lower School - Primary

Primary Programme

The Primary School Curriculum is:

For Kindergarten to Grade 5 (11/12 years old)
Standards based on Learning Outcomes
Has an independent programme of English
Has an independent programme of Mathematics IPM (Improving Primary Mathematics) developed in the UK
Complemented by integrated themed units of the I.P.C. (International Primary Curriculum)
Has an independent programme of Spanish (Grade 2 to Grade 5 only)

A new programme was adopted for I.S.H. in August, 2003, based on a vision of the future derived from 5 overriding beliefs:

The Cuban Ministry of Education recognises the ISH programmes and grants certificates of equivalency.
