Cambridge ESOL exams are the world's leading range of certificates for learners of English.
Each year they are taken by over 2 million people, in 130 countries.
Cambridge certificates are issued by Cambridge University, currently ranked first in Europe
and the top international university with English-language qualifications. They are valid for life!
Centre CU001, International School of Havana, is an open center, authorized
to run Cambridge ESOL examinations in Cuba.
The Cambridge program is a ladder that takes you all the way from zero to near-native-speaker
level in 5 steps. The Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE) has developed
a framework which covers five levels of language proficiency aligned to the Council of Europe
Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The table below
shows the correspondence between Cambridge ESOL Exams, ALTE levels and CEFR levels.
