Admission Procedure

Admission, Enrollment and Placement

All students that are non-Cuban nationals are eligible for admission.

The School is not equipped or staffed to educate students with severe learning difficulties, physical or mental disabilities or emotional problems.

Consequently the School reserves the right to refuse admission and the Principal is authorised by the Board to admit students only if in his/her opinion adequate provision can be made for their particular needs.

Non-native speakers of English who are not fluent in the language will be admitted and as far as possible, provided with a special programme of intensive English as a Second Language to complement their curricular learning in the Grade they enter.

Admission Age Requirement

Early Years students will normally been admitted and placed in Early Years 1, 2 or 3 according to their age and readiness for school.

Lower school students normally must be aged in the calendar year of proposed admission.

Kinder 5 years old before the 1st. September
Grade 1 6 years old before the 1st. September
Grade 2 etc.

Secondary school students should be aged in the calendar year of proposed admission

Grade 6 11 years old before the 1st. September
Grade 7 12 years old before the 1st. September
Grade 8 etc.
