The Principal
Mr. Ian Morris B.Sc. [Econ], P.G.C.S.E., M.A. is a graduate of the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth (U.K.) and the University of Alabama (U.S.A.). He was a teacher and administrator at schools in the U.K., Jamaica, Ethiopia and El Salvador before joining the I.S.H.. He became Principal of the I.S.H. in 1999.
Head of Secondary School
Mr. Richard Fluit, MA in K-12 Educational Administration of Michigan State University (U.S.A), First Degree in Math Education of Hogeschool Midden Nederland (Netherlands) and Bsc. Physics and
Mathematics of the Stichting Opleiding Leraren (Netherlands). He was a teacher and administrator at various schools in the Netherlands, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, as well as a teacher trainer before joining I.S.H. He became Head of Secondary School in 2004.
Head of Lower School
Ms. Heidi Cavanagh has a Master’s degree in English (teaching, reading and writing) from the University of New Hampshire (USA) and a Bachelor of Education from McGill University (Canada). She has worked as the Assistant Head of School and English Program Director at the International School of Peninsula in Palo Alto, California and as the Director of Kindergarten at New Horizon’s American Academy in Istanbul, Turkey. Prior to joining ISH, she spent 2 years travelling with her husband to over 20 countries. She has also taught in Canada. Ms. Cavanagh became the Head of Lower School in 2006.
