Since last year (academic year 2006-2007), the students of CAS, Vicky (former Grade 12 student), Mara (former Grade 12 student) and Julie (current Grade 12 student) started this project. The project at Juan Manuel Marquez Children's Cancer Hospital in Havana, Cuba has been very successful in the past and currently is running well. It consists of painting sessions at the hospitals saturday mornings (background is one of the pieces of work students have painted on the walls). Friday's after-school, the students from ISH go to play and spend time with the children in the hospital who are suffereing from cancer.
This project has received world-wide recognition by the IBO. It has been extremely successful in the past for making a better environment for the cancer patients to live in and to enjoy themselves.
